Journalism

Award-Winning Writer & Editor

I’m inherently curious and tenacious, which is why I’ve pursued a career as a journalist. I’ve written stories on topics that have a profound impact on our lives, highlighting the people involved and the issues at stake. With 15+ years of experience in legal reporting, I’ve covered stories across a range of topics including those related to the environment, immigration, criminal cases and business law. My articles have included: investigative reporting, beat reporting, features and profiles for daily, weekly, and monthly publications as well as online news sites.

I spent seven years as a daily legal columnist for Bloomberg News, four years as a contributing editor and senior staff reporter at The American Lawyer magazine and three years at The National Law Journal as a staff reporter. My freelance writing has been published by The New York Times, Harper’s, and Bloomberg News among others. My work has received multiple journalism awards and I’ve been recognized with a Fulbright Scholarship and a Soros Fellowship for my writing.

My communications skills and experience have expanded to include new challenges with my recent involvement in co-founding a nonprofit that empowers middle-school girls to combat bullying in politics.
